Sony PMW-EX-3

 

The Sony PMW-EX3 is a compact camcorder that features an interchangeable lens system and a 1080 native 3-chip 1/2" CMOS sensor that can record in 1080P, 720P and 1080i HD resolutions. The frame rate is selectable from interlace and progressive, such as 59.94i, 50i, 59.94P, 50P, 29.97P, 25P and native 23.98P recording.

 

The EX-3 also offers slow motion (up to 60fps in 720P), selectable gamma curves, slow-shutter, interval recording and Picture Profile feature. 

 

Turn this into a "back of the room" camera by adding our B4 mount adapter to use ENG-style zoom lenses

 

It records internally to SxS cards (2 slots with lossless overlap).  A single 32GB SxS card offers nearly 2 hours of record time at 1080P in 35mbps XDCam EX codec or, if you want a higher bit rate, you can record to an external device like an AJA Ki-Pro or Sound Devices Pix240 through the HD-SDI port.
